Dumpster Rental Surgoinsville TN

Surgoinsville sits on the north side of the Holston in Hawkins County, between Church Hill and Rogersville, with US-11W running four lanes through the northern edge of town and TN-346 serving as Main Street. Phipps Bend Industrial Park is the biggest employer in the area. The town itself is small and old, with genuinely historic buildings including the Fudge Farm house and the Bellamy Store, and it is surrounded by farmland running back toward Poor Valley and Clinch Mountain. It is a thirty-minute run for us out the highway and a place where most of the access questions are about gravel and grade rather than city rules.

Along Main Street the houses are older, close to the road, with short drives and mature trees. A number of them have plaster interiors and outbuildings out the back that predate anything else on the lot. Away from the center the pattern is rural: houses set well off the road on multi-acre parcels, gravel drives of several hundred feet, farm gates and creek crossings. The ground rises north toward Poor Valley and the ridges and falls south toward the river bottoms, so a property can be steep or flat depending on which way it faces. Clay under the gravel is the standard problem after rain, and low limbs over the drive are the standard problem the rest of the time.

The core of the work is rural property jobs. Barn, shed and corn-crib demolition. Fencing pulled and replaced. Brush and timber from clearing pasture or opening a drive. Old mobile homes coming off lots. On the houses, re-roofs and full interior updates in places that have not been touched in decades, which brings out plaster, panelling, carpet and layered flooring together. Estate clearances are frequent and usually take more than one can. We also get periodic commercial and light industrial clean-out work connected to the Phipps Bend side, which tends to be heavier, more uniform material.

Dumpster rental in Surgoinsville — FAQs

Do you actually come this far west regularly?

Yes. Surgoinsville is on the same 11W corridor we run for Mount Carmel, Church Hill and Rogersville, so we are through here most weeks. You are not paying for the mileage. Give us a day or two of notice where you can, and if the job is likely to need two loads, mention it when you book so we can plan the return trip properly.

How close to the house can you put the can?

As close as the ground and the access allow. On a rural lot that usually means the driveway or a firm gravel pad next to the building you are emptying. We need room to line the truck up straight and firm footing at the drop point. Where the ground is soft or the last stretch is too tight, we will set it back and you will have a longer carry.

Can I burn some of it instead?

That is between you and the state and county rules on open burning, which change with the season and the conditions. What we would say is that a lot of what people plan to burn, treated timber, roofing, panelling, insulation and anything with a coating on it, should not be burned at all. If in doubt, put it in the can and let it go to a proper disposal site.

Do you take construction debris from a commercial job?

Yes, and commercial loads are often simpler because the material is uniform. Framing waste, drywall, packaging, roofing and fit-out debris are all standard. What we need to know in advance is the tonnage you expect and whether anything on site is regulated, since some industrial material has to go a different route. Tell us the volume and we will size and schedule it around your program.
